5 out of 5 stars Amazing Value   July 13, 2007
700 11.5 gram poker chips for under $40. That's all you need to know here. The case, the buttons, the cards, and the dice are just gravy. I didn't have any problems with my case as some of the other reviewers did, but at this price I'd carry the chips in a pillowcase if I had to. The chips are good quality. The best I can describe is that they look like factory seconds of the nicest chips made. The weight is right, the finish is fairly smooth, but sometimes the white paint is a little sloppy or spotty. If any of your guests have the time to notice this, though, they're not paying enough attention to the poker game and you should be able to take thier money. Overall a great buy.

4 out of 5 stars Quick service and quality material   May 14, 2007
Only issue I had was that you have to struggle a bit to get the case to close with all the chips in. Also, some chip colors have a smoother feeling than other colors. I was hoping for a uniform touch. Otherwise, these are a very nice set.

4 out of 5 stars Quality chips   April 10, 2007
Not casino quality but great for the occasional homegame. I was looking for a set of fairly heavy chips that I could neurotically shuffle as I pretended to read peoples tells and these worked perfectly. Didn't really help my game much, but I blame that mostly on karma and butteflies in Zaire. The cards that come with the set are a joke, so don't get your hopes up - mine were Planet Hollywood Paulson's with ink marks on the edges of random cards - on both decks. Take the savings you get from only paying 50 bucks for this set and go buy a class deck someplace. Also, the case can be a little tough to shut - especially when your apartment is riddled with cans of cheap beer and you're down 40 bucks. Definitely a good buy.

The chips, the case, the extras...the whole package was great. Well packed items arrived quickly and I was using them the same day.

4 out of 5 stars Buy it for the chips, not the case   March 9, 2007

This is a great deal for chips - you can't beat the price, and they are solid, heavy, excellent quality.

The case, while metal, is poorly built. Ours arrived with one of the rivets on the handle half out, and I wouldn't trust it to carry the 20 pounds of chips even if the rivets were good. Also, if you fill the space cut in the foam interior with chips, the case will not shut. You have to leave a gap of about three chips' thickness shy of the top in order to be able to close the case.
