Product Description

Kem Plastic Playing Cards is a 60-year-old company specializing in one product-playing cards which are 100% cellulose acetate plastic. Kem plastic playing cards contain no vinyl, which is the raw material used by all other playing card manufacturers for their "plastic" playing cards.

A set-up consists of one black deck and one gold deck. The cards come in a hard black plastic Kem box. One joker is present with each deck. The dimensions of the cards are 2-1/2 inches wide x 3-1/2 inches tall.(Poker Size)

KEM cards can handle the wear and tear like no other brand of card in the industry. Kem's high performance cards will last longer, shuffle better, and deal in such a manner that you will never want to play with anything else again.

1 out of 5 stars Very dissapointed   January 3, 2009
I bought Kems and was very impressed with their feel and quality. I quickly bought second set since we play lot of poker. Within couple of months I discovered that couple of decks that we were not using were so warped that I had to throw them away. I tried straightening them, but did not help. I moved my other set to a different location and I am keeping them constantly under a heavy object, but it is a pain. I guess you need some sort of optimum humidity and temperature set to keep them straight. It is ridiculous.

1 out of 5 stars These cards eventually warped   October 16, 2008
These were pretty disappointing. Within a few nights of play these developed a few bent cards that were distinguishable from the others in the deck. Pretty hard to use them if everyone knows what they are.

I don't know if there's a way to straighten them out, but I'm pretty dissatisfied with cards that will last "forever" that are bent.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing Cards   September 30, 2008

I bought these and a set of Copags. Both are great, but I like these better - worth the small price difference.
For our neighborhood game folks can now "bend and peek" without worrying about ruining the cards. Dealing is a breeze because the cards glide across the felt.
Two games in and they have held up nicely.

3 out of 5 stars Generally good product but horrible customer service   September 23, 2008

I've played with KEM cards at a friends house before so I am used to these cards. Generally I like them a lot but the deck I bought came with seven noticeably miscut cards. They were miscut to the point it was noticeable across the table.

I've emailed US Playing cards three time trying to get some kind of resolution on a replacement deck or cards but they have yet to respond to any email I sent them. There is no phone number to contact them only an email which evidently no one responds to. The guarantee on their website lists every brand they make except KEM so if your deck is faulty, let the buyer beware.

2 out of 5 stars Not impressed   June 1, 2008

Althought the KEM cards are very attractive (black and gold), but they do bend easily. I've played with COPAG cards that have held up better after a year's worth of play than I got with these KEM cards have after 2 weeks. I don't know if it's this run of KEM cards, but I'll stick with COPAG from now on.
